This 20 credit degree-level module is for healthcare professionals who want to critically examine core concepts of critical care practice.

The module will facilitate exploration and appraisal of the contemporary evidence base, whilst providing opportunity to enhance clinical competence. It aims to facilitate you to develop and demonstrate the core knowledge, skill and attitude underpinning competent, clinically effective evidence based practice in critical care settings.

This module can be studied as a standalone module, as a core module towards the BSc (Hons) Professional Development in Critical Care or as an optional module towards some other BSc (Hons) Professional Development pathways - please contact the Professional Development Unit for further information.
