This 20 credit module is a core module for the MSc Advanced Professional Practice (Nursing and Midwifery Professions) (and other pathways within the School of Nursing and Midwifery) and will give you the opportunity to look at, critically analyse and evaluate the principles of advancing practice and prepare you for your learning journey on your masters. You will study alongside health professionals from across healthcare settings and disciplines adding a richness to this learning opportunity.
will develop a critical understanding of the current issues that impact on
service delivery and how advancing practice influences the provision of
high-quality, patient centred care whilst also ensuring that the right care is
delivered by the right clinician at the right time. You will also have the
opportunity to consider the legal and ethical boundaries, working environment
and complexities of your own practice.
Within the taught component of the module there will be input from visiting lecturers, clinicians, and managers from health sectors to offer practical and pragmatic input and promote active discussion.
