This 20 credit masters-level module will provide you with the opportunity to explore current research and development that is related to a range of countries. This study incorporates what you are learning into a professional development plan and considers career development within these contexts.
This module aims to develop your critical analysis of key drivers and research from a global health perspective and increase your understanding of current international health and social care professional practice. You will also develop critical reflection skills which will enable you to become a reflexive practitioner with an enhanced awareness of values informing your professional practice.
You will have the opportunity to debate the roles of international organisations, policy and legislation in shaping the health of populations, such as the World Health Organisation, and become familiar with the roles of key international professional bodies/ organisations whilst exploring your profession in a country or context of your choice.
