University Commercial Services Plymouth Ltd (UCSP) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of the University of Plymouth serving a range of clients. This currently includes:
- retail catering
- hospitality
- early years education
- childcare.
The company aims to provide services at the University to enhance student experience and contribute to upholding and improving the institution's excellent reputation. UCSP focuses on providing excellent customer service, a quality product and ensuring excellent value for money. This too, is applied to the wider community and business world.
UCSP, a private limited company owned by the University of Plymouth, has been running since 2013. The operation is overseen by a Commercial Director who reports to a non-executive board, which includes the Director of Facilities and Estates acting in an executive capacity. In order to meet its current commitments, the company employs 86 full time members of staff and retains a 160 strong trained temporary staff pool in order to deal with peaks in demand.
