MaRINET2 will open its 5th call for free access to testing facilities in summer 2020

Successful applicants will receive free access to a world-leading network of testing and research infrastructures. The call is open to offshore energy technology developers, including wind, wave and tidal energy at system and component level.
The project will close March 2021.
MaRINET2 is a €10.5m project funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme, and coordinated by the MaREI (Marine and Renewable Energy Ireland) Centre. The project will accelerate the development of offshore renewable energy technologies by providing free-of-charge access to a network of 57 research facilities across Europe, including University of Plymouth's Coastal, Ocean and Sediment Transport (COAST) laboratory. Access is granted through a series of competitive calls for applicants.
An open call for virtual access to data sets and a free-of-charge training programme are also available through the project.
Dr Stuart Stripling, Facility Manager, COAST laboratory said:
“A sustainable future is one that will draw upon the benefits of clean energy. The University’s COAST laboratory is delighted to be participating in the fourth transnational access MaRINET programme: MaRINET2. Under the MaRINET project, COAST supported a number of international clean energy development teams using its advanced R&D testing facilities and we would encourage any company interested in applying for access to our COAST laboratory to get in touch.”
Christophe Maisondieu, Marinet2 Access Coordinator, Ifremer added:
“Each of the MaRINET2 facilities has something to offer technology developers looking to take their devices or components to the next level. The strength of this project is the broad range of expertise and equipment on offer, and the opportunity to learn from partners in other countries.”
