Deluge

A multi-partnered interdisciplinary research project and exhibition exploring the consequences of 'a deluge of globalisation'.

Friday 28 September 2018 between 18:00–21:00.

Please join us for the opening of Deluge, an exhibition featuring international artist Karen Ingham.

Deluge is an interdisciplinary project using photography, film, digital textiles and hybrid craft to interrogate materials and objects that allegorize how we’ve arrived at the Anthropocene.

The launch is at Ocean Studios, where drinks and snacks will be served. There will be an opportunity to meet the artist and grab a copy of the exhibition catalogue.

Professor Karen Ingham is an internationally exhibited and published interdisciplinary artist. She is an Honorary Fellow at Swansea University and Honorary Interdisciplinary Research Fellow at Swansea College of Art UWTSD.

Land/Water and the Visual Arts

As a research group it operates as a forum for interrogation of nature and culture, aesthetics and representation.

Land/Water consists of artists, writers and curators who embrace a diversity of creative and critical practices. As a research group it operates as a forum for the interrogation of nature and culture, aesthetics and representation. Questioning imagery and practices relating to land, landscape and place is central to our ethos. As artists, writers, curators we work individually exploring space and place as a point of departure for experimenting in new modes of communication through picturing. We generate work that addresses a range of issues. These include environmental change, sustainability, journey, site and regional specificity.
