Join the advisory panel
We are always looking to expand the panel by recruiting
to it fundraisers who not only share our critical fundraising mindset but
genuinely want to bring new ideas into the fundraising profession and are
prepared to put in the effort to make that change happen.
We are looking for fundraisers with ambition to be thought leaders in the fundraising profession.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new ‘movement’ that challenges current thinking in fundraising.
How long you’ve worked in fundraising is less important than your ideas, your vision, and your critical thinking skills.
You can apply to join the International Advisory Panel at any time by downloading the application pack from the menu above. This will explain how long your term on the panel would be (two years with an option of a third) and how you might contribute to our work as a panel member. The application pack also contains details on how to apply, but we've also summarised these below.
The application process
To be considered for the panel, we’re asking you to submit two pieces of writing.
First, using the lens of critical fundraising, we would like you to write up to 500 words on:
Describe how you would tackle what you perceive as the biggest challenge facing fundraising.
We suggest looking at some of the entries on the Critical Fundraising blog to get an idea of the topics we have looked at previously.
Second, show us how you can help us by answering the following question (200 words):
What is the single most important contribution that
you could make in supporting Rogare to deliver our theory of change to deliver
our objective of, by the mid 2020s, a paradigm shift in the way the fundraisers
use theory and evidence to critically analyse, tackle and overcome the
challenges facing their profession, and ensuring fundraisers ask the right
questions in order to get us there?
You can download an application pack (which contains a role description, person specification and details of how to apply) and the terms and conditions for the Advisory Panel, from the menu above. To be eligible to serve on the panel, you must be:

small consultancies comprised only of two partners
- employees of Associate Members
- people who have had substantial fundraising
careers but have now moved into other roles (e.g. ceo)

We’re sorry but if you’re in the following category, you’re not eligible for the Advisory Panel:

- employees of suppliers to the fundraising sector, such as consultants, creative agencies etc (unless they are Associate Members of Rogare)
- funders or employees of funding bodies

This is to ensure the Advisory Panel remains a body that is run by fundraisers for fundraisers.
