Director of fundraising, Concern Worldwide (UK)
After a spell in advertising, Peter began his fundraising at Asthma UK, where he built up experience in most of the key fundraising disciplines. In 2000 he joined Breakthrough Breast Cancer as director of fundraising, where he built a fundraising team that grew income from £4 million to £24 million in six years through a range of initiatives such as the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign and partnerships with companies including Marks and Spencer, Avon Cosmetics and Aviva. Since then, he has worked across a range of charities, including a time as CEO at Ovarian Cancer Action. In 2012 he moved into the international NGO sector, with interim roles at ActionAid and Plan International, before taking on the permanent role of director of fundraising at Concern Worldwide (UK). He is also a trustee at youth homelessness charity Depaul UK and chairs its fundraising and development executive board.
