Ms Bird has more than 20 years of experience in service to philanthropy, with particular emphasis in capital campaigning and major gifts. In the years before becoming a development officer, Ms Bird was a development consultant at two major firms and went on to found Pacific Advancement Partners in an effort to help nonprofit organisations educate their teams in the best practices of major gifts and capital campaigning. In addition to her full-time work, Ms Bird has continued to consult on a pro-bono basis with nonprofit organisations where she identifies strongly with the mission and where she feels she can effect positive change for effective fundraising. Ms Bird has conducted more than a dozen capital campaigns throughout the United States with combined goals in excess of $1 billion. Ms Bird has extensive experience working with CEO's, non-profit executives, development directors, board chairpersons, and volunteer and staff leadership within complicated large organisations. She enjoys an excellent record of exceeding capital goals, is skilled at developing naming opportunities, creating information flows, and gaining access to key decision-makers and benefactors in support of the organisation she serves.
|"I was deeply interested in getting involved with Rogare because it provides me with an opportunity to work closely with my colleagues around the world on some of the simplest and some of the most complex problems facing the fundraising industry today.|
This work together will inspire dialogue and actionable direction about how to continue to innovate and support the important mission work our organisations exist to support."
