Plymouth offers a friendly, exciting and supportive place to study Biological Sciences. Our staff are world-leading experts who are passionate and committed to both their research and teaching. A key strength is our location on the border of Devon and Cornwall, with easy access to a variety of fascinating ecosystems - ranging from heath and agricultural land through to rocky shores and estuaries. Our collective research expertise is broad - from biochemistry, microbiology and ecotoxicology, to ecology, animal behaviour and evolution.

Annual Plymouth Linnean Lecture 2018

The 2018 invited speaker is Professor Nathalie Seddon (Professor of Biodiversity and NERC Knowledge Exchange Fellow in the Department of Zoology, University of Oxford). Professor Seddon's talk is entitled 'The value of nature in a warming world'.
