About us

Plymouth offers a friendly, exciting and supportive place to study biological sciences. Our staff are world-leading experts who are passionate and committed to both their research and teaching. A key strength is our location on the border of Devon and Cornwall, with easy access to a variety of fascinating ecosystems – ranging from heath and agricultural land through to rocky shores and estuaries. Our collective research expertise is broad – from biochemistry, microbiology and ecotoxicology, to ecology, animal behaviour and evolution.
