Teaching interests

Christie designs and delivers specially requested workshops across all disciplines and for all stages from pre-enrolment right through to PhD students. She aims to break down the barriers to Higher Education and create a positive, engaging and challenging learning experience for all. Her teaching interest includes a range of topics to support this aim, including:

 - Academic writing
 - Critical thinking
 - Critical reflection
 - Presentations

In addition to delivering workshops and large group sessions, Christie also works one to one with students in tutorial sessions, at the Writing Cafe and by providing constructive feedback on short extracts of academic work in progress. She can offer advice and resources on a variety of topics including:

- Interpreting feedback
- Essay structure
- Time management and planning
- Exams and revision
