Research interests

Application of numerical and analytical methods to the solution of a range of flow problems.

Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) - analysis of the method, development of codes to implement SPH and use for coastal engineering applications.

Computational Fluid Dynamics - use of CFX and Fluent Polyflow packages.
Industrial flow applications - in particular the flow and heat transfer in non-Newtonian fluids in food processing.
Rheology - analysis and development of methods for characterising the rheological behaviour of materials.
