Placements and Employer Liaison Adviser

Careers Service (Academic Registry)

Role

I have been working for the University for 20 years. I started working front line in the Careers Service as a Careers Assistant before moving to the Employer Liaison Team in 2007, where my role was to secure employer engagement with on campus activities. My current role within the Careers Service is as a Placements & Employer Liaison Adviser, working with students from the Faculty of Health: Medicine, Dentistry and Human Sciences and Science & Engineering. Working with students in their 1st and 2nd year of study to explore the option of undertaking a placement year and supporting placement year students while out on placement and their associated employers. Employer engagement is key to the success of our placement year and working closely with local and national employers provides me with the opportunity to network, securing new and exciting placements for our students.
