Research interests

My research experience broadly falls under the theme of anthropogenic impacts on aqueous systems. Over the years this has taken the form of trace metal chemistry in estuarine and marine environments, and its application to addressing unknowns relating to microplastic pollution. More recently, I have been working on anthropogenic effects on benthic habitats and ecosystems, and the important challenge of teasing apart environmental drivers from human impacts.
