Research interests

My research project:  “Deciphering the signature of fluid/rock reaction in the lower oceanic crust: The Oman ophiolite analogue” aims to fully characterize the lower oceanic crustal hydrothermal system using novel geochemistry and imaging methods. I am particularly interested in the geochemistry of the hydrothermal processes and its impact on the formation of the ocean crust in terms of the heat budget and the extend of seawater input. I am also interested in the ore formation processes and hydrothermal processes in the continental crust.

Additional information

I am a long distance runner having participated in multiple races including half- and full marathons as well as mountain ultramarathons and a triathlon.
