Research interests

My research interests focus mainly on how environmental effects (both natural and anthropogenic) can impact the physiology, behaviour and ultimately the welfare of aquatic organisms through an integrative approach, investigating effects at whole animal, early-life stage and cellular levels.Concurrently, with the aid of collaborative funding from BBSRC, NERC and AstraZeneca, a primary area of research is investigating and promoting the use of alternative animal models, particularly for fin fish, in aquatic ecotoxicology.
