Research interests

Algal and aquatic plant ecotoxicology.

The mechanistic basis for responses to environmental stresses (anthropogenic and natural) in marine algae and seagrasses, with particular emphasis on physiological and cellular processes.

Seaweed technology and integrated aquaculture.

The environmental physiology of invasive seaweeds.
