I became a registered nurse in 1993 and a registered midwife in 1996 and worked clinically until joining Plymouth University as a Midwifery Lecturer in 2011. During my years in clinical practice I worked as a community midwife, a hospital midwife and in a midwife led unit as well as working as a Practice Development Midwife.
