Biography

Biography

I have expertise and experience in Higher Education and over the years I have been developing, designing and leading very successfully both very large and smaller sized modules within the Plymouth Business School. My successful collaborations with colleagues from the Plymouth University's Faculty of Health and Human Sciences, Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry and School of Computing and Mathematics (Faculty of Science and Environment), enables our strong research team to produce significant ground-breaking research for Health systems (NHS) in the UK. I am a co-inventor of The Cost Carbon Calculator and I designed and wrote the methodology for creating the Cost Carbon Calculation Tool.

For the Faculty of Business I have pioneered the Junior Chamber Partnership Programme for students between the Faculty of Business and the Devon Junior Chamber of Commerce. The Partnership Programme has extended to develop the Devon Chamber Patronage Programme, which offers the Faculty of Business very interesting opportunities for collaboration and excellent profile raising activities for the Faculty of Business and the University of Plymouth. Our Patronage Programme with the Devon Chamber of Commerce both enriches and adds value to the students' experiences within the Faculty of Business. I am leading and directing both the Devon Junior Chamber Partnership and Devon Chamber Patronage Programmes for the Faculty of Business. I am a Director of Studies for PhD students who are undertaking research in Sustainability, CSR, Banking, Microfinance, Accounting and Finance research. I am a member of the Plymouth Business School and Plymouth Graduate School of Management research committee and I have received full training for serving Plymouth University as a Programme Approval Chairperson.

Prior to working at The University of Plymouth, Business School, I have worked in industry at an accounting practice firm and accounting departments for two large manufacturing companies Logic Office Group in Rotherham, Yorkshire and Delta Corporation.
