Research interests

Monitoring of building performance both single and multiple urban buildings, time dependent in situ thermal conductivity measurements, radon gas and ventilation in buildings, the condition of listed buildings.

As green wall co-lead on Low Carbon Devon fun ded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the three-year (2020-2023) £2.6 million programme, will support Devon-based organisations to access research, business support, and engage with the University of Plymouth around the low-carbon agenda

RICS Education Trust funded Comparison of the effects of listing upon building condition between three Cornish Towns and three Devon Towns 2003

DTI funded investigation into the viability of light earth construction in the UK. Research with Gaia Architects in situ monitoring of the thermal and moisture performance of light earth walling, 2001-2004.
