Teaching interests

My teaching interests cover molecular and cell biology; biology of disease – age related degenerative conditions; clinical applications of stem cells and regenerative medicine. 

I contribute to teaching on a number of modules across both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the Faculty including:

Research interests

My research is focussed on diseases associated with human ageing including osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and dementia. I have experience in the translation of basic science into products and processes for patient benefit.  My current research focusses on the development of a multidisciplinary complex intervention based in primary care for improving wellbeing and health-related quality of life for people with dementia and their carers.  I am committed to ensuring that access to services and support for people with dementia their carers and families is equitable and inclusive.
