10.00 - 12.00 Introduction to Computing & Games Development and Retro Games Session – Room 204, Babbage Building
This meeting is a very important one. It is your first meeting with your fellow students and the subject specialists leading the degree.
14.30 – 14.45 Introduction to Student Wellbeing Services - Lecture Theatre 2 - Sherwell Church (Upper lecture theatre)
Student Services will outline the support available to all students and where you need to go to access this support. The session will include information about:
- Disability Services
- Student Wellbeing Services (Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing)
- Learning Development incl SUM UP
- Care Leavers
- Peer Assisted Learning (PALS)
14.45 – 15.00 Introduction to the Students’ Union - Lecture Theatre 2 - Sherwell Church (Upper lecture theatre)
A representative of the Students’ Union will outline all the extra-curricular activities you can enjoy, including; sports clubs and societies, volunteering, and how the Union is the hub of social life whilst studying. They provide your student support and representation.

You can collect your University card from Room 015, Ground Floor, Smeaton Building during the times given above. Your card is used for entry to the Library, some room entry, handing in coursework etc.

11.00 – 12.00 Introduction to the Programmes Lecture Theatre 2 - Sherwell Church (Upper lecture theatre)

This meeting is a very important one. It is your first formal contact with the staff who are most involved with your degree programme, and your fellow students. The session will be led by both your Programme Director and the Associate Head of Computing, who will introduce you to the School, the structure of your degree, brief details of the topics you may cover in your time at the University, and so on. You will also be told what we expect of you. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.

A short presentation from your subject librarian introducing you to the facilities and services of the University library.
19.00 – 21.30 Wednesday Welcome Party - Graduation Marquee, Plymouth Hoe
The Welcome Party is your opportunity to meet informally with other students new to The Faculty of Science and Engineering as well as some current students and your academic staff.
Additionally, the evening includes a welcome drink, entertainment and the chance to win a £100 Amazon voucher.

This meeting is a very important one. The session will be led by the programme manager, who will give details of the topics you may cover. You will also be told what we expect of you. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.
16.00 - 17.00 - Module Enrolment – Room 202, Smeaton Building
This session is for students who wish to change their optional modules or have not yet chosen their options
