Adult Nursing Degree Apprentice students undertaking study in Year 2

Welcome to the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Plymouth. 

You have already completed part of your nursing studies and are entering a further fascinating intellectual and professional journey to enable you to practice as a nurse. You will need to stay focused and work hard, but should also aim to enjoy your studies and make the most of yourtime as a member of the School of Nursing and Midwifery and the University.

The sessions scheduled below will give you the opportunity to find out more about the nursing course in Plymouth, the course documentation you will
be using, timetables and meet some of the staff. You will also become familiar with the University of Plymouth campus and the services available to support you.

Occupational Heath

If an occupational health appointment is required this will take place as below:

It is important that you attend your appointment as this is a condition to attending your placement area. Please ensure you bring a record of any immunisations you may have had to your first appointment. It is possible your first inoculation may take place at this appointment. There will be a series of follow-up appointments for inoculations throughout the first term and you will receive email notification of these.

If you have a needle phobia please advise occupational health before you start via the email below. You will need to quote your name, date of birth and programme in any email to occupational health.
