Central Point Residence Life team

The Central Point Residence Life team is made up of hall volunteers who are current students who will be living in your halls of residence throughout your first year.

They are on duty from 17:00–23:00 every weekday and 11:00–23:00 Saturday and Sunday. You can contact them via the duty phone number which is written in your Central Point hall handbook and displayed on your kitchen notice board. Outside of these hours please contact the Unite out-of-hours team.


What do hall volunteers do?

  • Organise and host events
  • Provide peer support
  • Signpost to university services
  • Help with general enquiries
  • Provide knowledge of the city and university amenities


Why 
you should get to know them

They provide a friendly face to new students living in Plymouth, helping you to settle in and to feel part of a thriving community. You may meet them during their duty rounds or at one of the halls of residence events.

Abena (biomedical science) – “I love watching documentaries and fantasy movies. I have recently developed an interest in art work.”

Dilan (optometry) – “I’m a big football fan and enjoy playing on the weekends. Another interest of mine is eating which I am very passionate about but can’t cook to save my life.”

Joshua (accounting and finance) – “I really enjoy pool, watching films, a decent board game and hiking, as well as the usual stuff like chilling at a bar and watching Netflix.”

Matthew (construction management and the environment) – “I’m a big fan of musical theatre – Plymouth has such nice theatres that always get great shows.”
<p>Rachel square</p>
Rachel (dentistry) – “My interests include hair, makeup and everything to do with academia! I’m also interested in sports – always up for a game of netball.”
