This 20 credit module is the first of three modules that combine to make up the Advancing Practice short course at degree level. It can be accessed as a standalone module but it is recommended that the greatest benefit from this module is gained when completed as part of the full course.
Successful completion of this module will enable you to advance your practice in the provision of high quality, patient-centred care, appraising risk leading on the development of complex patient pathways to deliver safe care.
This module will build on your prior experience of practice and personal development planning across various areas of healthcare and your ability to apply current research to your practice. You will also examine the legal and ethical boundaries of advancing practice and accountability of practice on personal, professional and strategic levels.
