PgDip Clinical Education

Our eMentoring scheme is designed to help you on your journey to your future healthcare profession.

The eMentoring scheme is open to anybody in Year 10 or above with an interest in studying medicine, biomedical science, healthcare science or dentistry. Our eMentoring scheme is an online resource that provides the opportunity for you to be mentored by a Faculty of Health student. You are welcome to join even if you do not want to study at Plymouth.

How will I benefit?

Our e-Mentoring scheme matches you with a current medical, biomedical or dental student, who you will communicate with via a secure online platform. Our brilliant mentoring platform is also a place to ask questions about our programmes and about life as a student here in Plymouth. The platform is anonymous, securely monitored and free of charge.
Our mentors and mentees talk about:
  • Revision and study techniques
  • UCAT and BMAT help
  • Personal statement tips and advice
  • UCAS advice
  • A Level and GCSE choices
  • What it’s like to study at the University of Plymouth
  • Placements
  • Exams
  • Career options
  • Support with your university application
  • What it’s like to study medicine, biomedical sciences or dentistry

“It's so useful to have someone who is experiencing medical school first-hand to ask any questions, whenever you have them. You're able to find out things that aren't just on Google (finding information on the realities of the career is something I struggled with before I got my mentor) and is especially useful if you're not sure whether or not medicine is the career for you”
