Bringing together leading academics from across the UK and beyond, the conference aims to inspire, share best practice, and contribute to core debates relevant to teaching and learning provision in the university sector. 

The conference will be themed around the following areas:

  • Enhancing student experience and wellbeing
  • Public engagement and impact in Pedagogic Research
  • Enhancing the impact of assessment and feedback
  • Gaming, simulation and experiential learning
  • Sustainability education.

Keynote speaker

The speaker is Dr Naomi Winstone from the University of Surrey and the title of her keynote is Developing authentic staff-student partnerships in feedback processes.

Keynote speaker: Naomi Winstone, University of Surrey

Naomi is a cognitive psychologist specialising in learning behaviour and engagement with education. Naomi’s research focuses on the processing and implementation of feedback, and her recent roles at the University of Surrey have included Director of Learning and Teaching in the School of Psychology and Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She is currently Head of the Department of Higher Education, and Director of the Surrey Assessment and Learning Lab. Naomi is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a National Teaching Fellow.
