Annual Pilgrim Fathers Lecture: Lord Dyson
  • Roland Levinsky Building, Plymouth University

Save event

The annual Pilgrim Fathers lecture commemorates the Pilgrim Fathers voyage to America in 1620 and traditionally embodied themes of freedom and human rights.

As 2015 is not only the bicentennial year of Plymouth Law Society but also the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta, Lord Dyson will be drawing on the theme of the Magna Carta for his lecture.

The title of Lord Dyson's lecture is "The Globalisation of Law".

Lord Dyson is the latest in a long list of distinguished members of the legal profession to present the lecture.

The lecture, organised by the Plymouth Law Society and hosted by Plymouth University and Plymouth City Council, has become a celebrated annual event in the legal profession calendar, attracting current and past Lord Chancellors, Lord Justices of Appeal and Lords of Appeal.

Please book a place via the University eStore above (last booking date: 4 November 2015).

Lecture start time: 6pm for 6.30pm start.
