It’s officially the countdown to Christmas and Plymouth University have decided to have a festive Christmas Jumper Day.
On Friday 18 December, we welcome your team to join us in wearing your favourite Christmas jumper to work.
To all those who decide to join in the festive fun, we are suggesting a £1 donation.
Collections can be done in departments, and once totalled please deliver the donations to Emma Hutchings, in Room 109 Hepworth House, Plymouth University. The funds will be gathered and paid to our Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence.
Brain Tumour Research is partnering with specialist teams at several UK universities – including experts at Plymouth University – to improve treatments and outcomes for people with brain tumours.
Our Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence is Europe’s leading programme in developing targeted and personalised targeting therapies for low-grade brain tumours, but there are still challenges ahead. Brain tumour research is woefully underfunded, receiving just one per cent of national spending on cancer research.
Help us Fund the Fight against brain tumours, while spreading a little Christmas cheer.
If you are wearing a Christmas jumper, on the day between 12:30-13:00 come and join us for staff photographs in Drake's Place Gardens.
Merry Christmas everyone.
