This workshop for Plymouth University staff will provide an overview of European funding opportunities for those in business and the social sciences and will focus specifically on how to develop European collaborations.

While the long-term future of European funding is uncertain, the government has guaranteed support for UK researchers for new European projects that emerge before Brexit, even if they continue after Britain has left the EU, and the UK is still one of the most successful countries in acquiring European research funding. Consequently there are still plenty of opportunities for academics in business and the social science to take advantage of EU funding.

Professor Shoafeng Liu will utilise her own experience from successfully building partnerships and obtaining funding for the Erasmus and other European programmes, while technical advice and information will be provided by the University’s Research and Innovation Directorate.
