Join Dr David Pencheon OBE along with the Sustainability, Society and Health Research Group and the Sustainable Earth Institute for a seminar and discussion session about sustainability in health and social care.
The afternoon will start with David presenting about the activities undertaken by the NHS Sustainable Development Unit (SDU), followed by an outline of health and sustainability research projects happening at Plymouth University.
Discussions will be held around potential research collaborations and synergies between the NHS Sustainable Development Unit and the Sustainable Earth Institute.

Biography: Dr David Pencheon OBE
David is the Director of the NHS Sustainable Development Unit. He was previously Director of the NHS Eastern Region Public Health Observatory from 2001 to 2007, serving the East of England. He has worked as joint Director of Public Health, a Public Health Training Programme Director in the East of England and with the NHS R&D programme. David has also worked in China in the early 1990s with Save the Children Fund (UK). Prior to that he was clinician in secondary care.
