Mutual trust has formed the essential cornerstone of the relationship between doctors and patients from time immemorial. That trust has been tested due to the recent industrial action of the junior doctors.
MegaReach (www.megareach.org) believes that there is much to be gained by promoting a dialogue between the doctors involved in the industrial action and the general public, to provide an opportunity for both parties to explain their concerns and to learn from each other.
This free discussion at the University is hosted by MegaReach and invites a dialogue between representatives of the junior doctors and residents of Plymouth. The event will take the form of a moderated panel discussion with contributions and questions from the floor in addition to short presentations by panel members.
Many junior doctors will also be available for one-to-one discussions soon after the main event. The discussion will be moderated by Reverend David V Evans, the Honourable Ecumenical Co-ordinating Chaplain of Plymouth University.
MegaReach is also proud to spotlight the acclaimed musician Alive, who will further enrich the evening’s programme with a unique recital of atmospheric electronic music. This will include a prelude from 18:40.
This event is open to all but registration is essential via the above link as seating is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
