This seminar by Professor Uvanney Maylor explores the goals of educational leadership as dictated by government policy and as part of this considers what educational leadership might look like in 21st century Britain. 

The seminar examines the relevance of social justice in educational leadership and the implications for educational institutions in facilitating diverse and inclusive educational leadership in schools and higher education.

About Professor Uvanney Maylor

Professor Uvanney Maylor is Director of the Institute for Research in Education at the University of Bedfordshire. Prior to joining the University of Bedfordshire she was a Reader in Education at the Institute for Policy Studies in Education at London Metropolitan University, and Director of Multiverse (a professional resource network for initial teacher education).

From 2008-11 she was an elected member of the British Educational Research Association Executive Council. She served as a member of the UK-wide Higher Education Funding Council for Education Research in Excellence Framework (2014) sub-panel for Education, and is an invited fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
