Do you have lots of data but don’t know how to use it? Would you like to use data insights to improve your offer to customers or the efficiency of your business?

This course will equip you with the skills needed to use data for the benefit of your business. Whether it’s improving how you use existing data or knowing more about what data there is to access, these sessions will be ideal for owners, managers and other staff involved in business planning.

Topics will include:

  • the value and limitations of data to businesses
  • sourcing data (e.g. customer surveys, public data)
  • using data
  • data governance issues – GDPR
  • data and risk
  • using data analytics.

The course will include a free networking lunch as well as tea and coffee on arrival and during the mid-morning break.

Due to the nature of the funding delegates are required to bring ID as proof of age and right to work in the UK - a passport is the most suitable proof.

Parking - free on site

Please contact Gioia Grobler by email for general event information.

This course is being delivered by tutors from the University of Plymouth, with private sector business experience, in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses.
