The Plymouth Athenaeum's 2019 Winter Lecture series opens with a lecture by Dr Patrick Holden, Associate Professor of International Relations at the University of Plymouth.

Patrick's lecture will outline the relationship between international trade and politics in world history, leading up to the controversies of the current era (it will be free of statistics).

Patrick has published many works on economic diplomacy and politics, including two books published by Ashgate and Routledge. He is also The Athenaeum's Lecture Secretary.
