  • Lecture Theatre 005, Babbage Building, University of Plymouth

Save event

The main line to Cornwall now hosts 21st century high speed trains, however the signalling system continues to include mechanical signals developed from 19th century practices.

This presentation by Paul Mundy (Network Rail), Dave Helliwell (Amey) and Andy Scarisbrick (Atkins) will describe the challenges behind the Cornwall Capacity Improvements which will allow GWR to run a 30-minute service through Cornwall. This saw the modernisation of 7 level crossings and the provision of additional signal sections on the Cornwall main line.

This talk is free and open to all.
