Inclusive assessment practices improve the opportunities for students to demonstrate they have achieved their learning outcomes without compromising academic or professional standards (Waterfield and West, 2006). Inclusive assessment aims to ensure that all students have an equitable and supported assessment experience.
The A Marked Improvement HEA publication has established the agenda; this conference aims to share practice in more detail, what is possible, what is working?
This free conference, hosted by the Pedagogic Research Institute and Observatory (PedRIO) in partnership with the Higher Education Academy, provides a forum to discuss and share the experience of academics and practitioners in inclusive assessment. The University is committed to providing inclusive assessment across the institution and has developed a number of innovative practices to support staff in delivering inclusive assessment and examinations.
Sharing these developments for colleagues to critique forms part of the conference agenda.
Location: Room 605, Rolle Building, Plymouth University.
