The second of four contemporary Art and Mental Health Talks, organised by the ARC research group with Plymouth Community Healthcare.

Dr Sarah Bennett undertook an artistic research project at the Museo Laboratorio Della Mente (The Museum of the Mind), in Rome from 2012-14 and she will be speaking about the artworks she made in response to an archive of abandoned parcels of patients’ possessions. She will also describe how the Museo uses audio visual and interactive installations to de-stigmatise mental illness through the visitor experience.

Sarah is an artist and academic, whose research critiques institutional sites, both historical and contemporary, through embodied actions and digital recording methods. She is Associate Head of the School of Art and Media, and Associate Professor in Fine Art, at Plymouth University.

This event is open to all.
