Plymouth’s mental health support services have set an international example of collaboration and shared services through the Plymouth Mental Health Network.

Plymouth is a hive of activity for mental health projects and this year has been no different. In October 2017 Public Health launched Thrive Plymouth’s campaign, which focused on Mental Wellbeing, upholding the ‘CLANG’ concepts which make up the five ways to wellbeing: Connect, Learn, Active, Notice, Give.

The Mental Wealth Festival gives us the opportunity to hear how that project has gone and is a chance to revisit the pledges that those made at the project launch in 2017. In addition, we will hear from inspirational speakers who will share their stories of overcoming mental health challenges, doctors sharing the latest research, and interactive workshops to help you look after and maintain your own mental health, whoever you are.

Speakers include:

  • Vicky Shipway, Chair of the Plymouth Mental Health Network, Chief Executive of Colebrook South West
  • Sarah Lees, Consultant in Public Health, Plymouth City Council
  • Lynne Hodgson, Age UK Plymouth
  • Larissa Milden, Improving Lives Plymouth
  • Dr Katrina Bannigan, University of Plymouth.

Please visit the festival website for further information.
