The latest version of Office 2016 will soon be available to staff to install on their University managed computers. This course will help you to transition to the latest version of Office and adjust program settings to customise your experience. You will also get a chance to see and try out some of the new functionality in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Who should attend this course?

This course is aimed at members of staff who are upgrading to Office 2016. The course will be delivered on PC computers, although Mac users are welcome to attend.

Pre-requisites

Prior knowledge of using Microsoft Office is essential to benefit from this course.

This course follows on from Introducing to OneDrive for Business, which you should attend before attending this course.

 What will I learn?

By the end of this course you will be able to adjust your copy of Office 2016 to suit your preferences, save files to OneDrive for Business, share files from the desktop programs and understand some of the changes in the Office 2016 suite.

 The course will cover:

  • navigation and preferences
  • saving files to OneDrive for Business
  • useful features and settings in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • how to access further training.
