Lack of ICT know-how costs UK business an estimated £17bn a year.

The UK’s productivity gap with its major competitors remains in place. The potential of information technology (IT) to transform the world of work is enormous. It offers a range of benefits: saving labour, better information management and process control, richer connectivity and greater business agility. These benefits materialise for organisations and feed through to the local economy.

However, in the UK, this potential is often unfulfilled. Nine out of 10 jobs require IT skills and in these days of rapidly changing technology, it has become more imperative than ever for companies to look ahead and try and predict how technological advances, globalisation, environmental concerns and people’s desire for more flexible working will affect the way business is carried out.

Aimed at the University's Plymouth Business School and Graduate School of Management students, this workshop will give you the skills you need to become part of the solution and make you stand out from the crowd.
