From open access publishing to open data, the future of research is definitely 'open'! The culture of science is changing and the increasing demands of funders and publishers for accessible science have been accompanied by a number of new resources to help researchers.

This workshop will provide a range of tools and tips for making your research more accessible, noticeable and citable, including:

  • Open data and the new University data repository project
  • Open access publishing - new and novel ways to make your research accessible
  • Being an open researcher - tools to promote research.

The Marine Institute aims to create a community of researchers committed to open access science. Come along to learn and share your handy tips and tricks with others.
