OutdAre Teaching
  • Room 207, Rolle Building, Plymouth University

Save event

Presenters – Gorik van Helleputte and Danielle Cools.

Danielle and Gorik are pioneering outdoor educator and lecturers, from University College Leuven-Limburg. They are exploring a theoretical basis that enables teachers to anticipate the curriculum more fundamentally and more sustainably, linking it meaningfully to the social environment they work and live in.

OutdAre refers to an outdoor approach, underlining the element of ‘dAre’ which refers to the challenges of education in society and the mentality needed to anticipate them. To end with, ‘outdAre’ also playfully refers to ‘out there’, as in looking further, going further, meaningful connecting with what’s ‘out there’.

This event is aimed at Education and Environmental Science staff and student teachers. There’s no need to book and it is fine to bring your lunch with you!
