Save event

The great cities of the North of England have come together to develop an ambitious investment plan under the banner Transport for the North.

The authorities from Cheshire, Sheffield and the Humber right up to the Scottish border have joined forces with a transformational strategy to boost business and enterprise though a raft of transport improvements. One of these involves Rail North, which is starting to transform train services in this part of the country through partnership working and focused investment.

Here in the South West, we have a similar need to improve our transport connections. Pete Brunskill, Stakeholder and Strategy Manager from Rail North Ltd, will describe the approaches taken in the North and will provoke consideration as to whether a similar approach might be adopted to deliver economic growth and investment in the South West’s transport infrastructure.

This lecture is free to attend and doors open at 18:00 for 18:15 start.
