Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008) was making art out of his own bed half a century before Tracey Emin.

His work embraced painting, performance art, silk-screen printing and found objects. His influence was global.

As Tate Modern hosts the first major exhibition of Rauschenberg’s work in 35 years, join Dr Jody Patterson, Associate Professor in Art History from Plymouth University, for an illustrated lecture about an extraordinary talent.

This talk is part of the 'Plymouth City Museum and Gallery: On Tour' series. Tickets cost £2 per person, with advance booking and payment available via the Eventbrite website.

A Q&A session will run after the talk.
