Please note this event is ONLY open to current undergraduate/pre-registration students in the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences or the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry who complete part of their studies on placement.
Going on placement can be challenging and stressful for students but we are here to help. Speak Up ’18 is your chance to share your experiences of placement or your fears for an upcoming placement in a safe, confidential setting as well as attend workshops and seminars from a whole host of organisations.
We are delighted to have Professor Laura Serrant OBE as our keynote speaker for the day. Professor Serrant is Professor of Nursing at Sheffield Hallam University and is named as one of the Top 50 leaders in the UK and the 8th most influential black person in the UK. Alongside Professor Serrant will be professionals from The Intercom Trust, FREDA, Schwartz Center Rounds, Samaritans, Devon and Cornwall Police, The Eddystone Trust and many more.
This free event is here to support you in challenges you may face whilst on placement and empower you to speak up against injustice; places are very limited and are first-come, first-served. Food and drinks will be provided throughout the day.
Please register your place via the above link or email email@example.com for any queries.
