The St Luke's Hospice annual Midnight Walk for Women is the charity's biggest fundraiser and Plymouth University is again this year, delighted to act as a refreshment/stopover point for those taking part.
Whether it is in memory of a loved one, a physical challenge or as part of a girls’ night out, the Midnight Walk is an opportunity to dress in pink to raise funds for St Luke's Hospice. This year's event is sponsored by Nash & Co Solicitors and there are three routes to choose from: 3, 6 or 13.1 miles, starting and finishing at the University of St Mark & St John.
Ladies who are on the 13.1 mile walk are expected to stop by Plymouth University's campus around 11.30pm on their halfway point and everyone is invited to cheer them off as they continue on through the city.
As it is the ten year anniversary of the event, the University will have classic tunes playing from 2006 to keep the ladies motivated and give them a boost. There will also be staff from the University’s podiatry services on hand to assist with any foot first aid care during their stopover.
Visit the St Luke's Hospice website for further information and to register for the Midnight Walk.
