A team of staff from the Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry are digging out their webbed feet again to raise money for Brain Tumour Research as part of the Professional Services Challenge.
The team (Hannah, Joanne, Jackie, Terry and Ross) are taking part in the Lions Club of Plymouth Swimarathon 2018 – completing as many lengths of the 25m pool as possible in a 50 minute relay.
All monies raised will be split 50/50 between Brain Tumour Research and the Lions Club nominated charities (The New Life Charity for Disabled Children, St Luke’s Hospice, plus other local Lions charities).
Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence
The University of Plymouth is a Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence, currently one of only four in the UK. The world-leading research in Professor Hanemann’s laboratories seeks to discover new treatments and a cure for low-grade brain tumours, for the benefit of patients and their families.
