Modern technology provides new tools in the fight against crime and in assisting the police's mission to protect the vulnerable from harm.

This session, run by Chief Constable Andy Marsh QPM from Avon and Somerset Constabulary, will reflect the changes in policing that we are witnessing, managing and driving; an update on how we are harnessing the power and efficiencies of body-worn video cameras; the opportunities that technology around ground-breaking data analytics present to us; and the continued work on global law enforcement, which is vital not just for international policing but also policing here in the UK.

James Kendall, Royal Geographical Society-IBG Professional Officer, will be in attendance for further information on the Chartered Geographer accreditation programme.

The free event is open to all - please register a place via the above link. Doors open at 17:30.

Contact Alan Smith (email: alan.smith@plymouth.ac.uk/tel: 01752 588670) for any queries.
