This seminar will present preliminary findings from a National Institute of Health Research (Research for Patient Benefit Programme) funded mixed methods systematic review.

The review (funded for £155k) has nearly completed the data extraction phase and has begun developing a narrative synthesis for formulating practical recommendations. The seminar will focus on an exploration of emergent themes relating to the efficacy, feasibility and adherence to using PA as an intervention strategy, concentrating on initial findings relating to intervention dose and mode, and the barriers and facilitators to adherence. Discussion will be invited around the issues for implementation to aid in the focus and context of the narrative review.

Presented by Ms Jane Horrell and Dr Tom Thompson.

This seminar is open to University staff and students. Contact to book a place.
